Insight:

"It is for us to pray not for tasks equal to our powers, but for powers equal to our tasks, to go forward with a great desire forever beating at the door of our hearts as we travel toward our distant goal."
~ Helen Keller

Stop for a minute: Helen Keller must surely be the greatest example of overcoming obstacles. This lady became blind and deaf at the age of two, yet she still managed to become an author and lecturer, travelling the world to raise funds for various social causes, particularly the blind. How many of us would have just given up and withdrawn into that terrible dark, silent world? The tasks facing her must have been daunting – yet she didn’t let them get the better of her! Are you facing any challenges you think you can’t deal with? Just think of Helen, be inspired, and know that you wouldn’t have that challenge if you didn’t have the capacity to cope with it!

Gray skies are just clouds passing over.

~ Duke Ellington

One thing we can be most certain of is the sun! Even if we can’t see it for a while because of cloudy weather, there is no doubt that behind those clouds the sun is there. When you are going through difficult times in your life, these are ‘grey skies’ – they are not permanent. Look forward to the time when the clouds ‘pass over’ and you are again basking in the warmth, comfort and joy of the ‘sunshine’.

Do you need to change your thinking? Do you need to change your attitude?
